It's Good To Be The Hostess Promotion

Have you heard... From November 1-December 15, 201, hostesses will receive an additional $35 in free Stampin' Up! products when they hold a workshop totaling $350 or more (excluding tax and shipping)! This is in addition to all the other benefits they already get as a Stampin' Up! hostess. See Promotion Flyer!

Things to Remember:
  • If you don't have time for a party this offer is good for customer orders as well.  Get a few friends together and place an order! Online orders do not qualify for this promotion. Call me and I will be happy to help!
  • Orders must be $350 or more to qualify.
  • Orders larger than $350 are not eligible for additional hostess free merchandise dollars. For example, a $700 workshop does not receive $70 in additional dollars. All orders over $350 always receive $35 in additional free hostess dollars.
  • Hostesses may use their additional $35 in free merchandise on any catalog/mini catalog products.

Masculine May Contest

It's contest time!!! To all the ladies on my mailing list: all you have to do is create a project (a card, a scrapbook page, or a 3-D project) incorporating the products I have given you. You must use at least one of the three postage stamp pieces of cardstock. You must also use the baker’s twine and the piece of Nautical Expedition DSP you have been given. You must use a part of these products but not necessarily the entire product I have given. For example, you may only need a 2x2 square of the DSP for your card. You may add any other embellishments you need to complete your project. You MAY use non-SU! products. You can use any tools (paper piercer, punch, crimper, etc.) to complete your project. All I ask is that you submit original work.

After you create your project email me a picture of it. I will post the picture on my blog site for everyone to enjoy. I will post contest entries as they come in. I will give you credit for your work by including your name and hometown under the picture of your work. On May 31st I will draw a name from those who have participated and that stamper will win a Classic Stampin’ Pad (any color).

What do you have to lose? Nothing! Everyone will finish this contest with a newly completely project to share. One lucky stamper will get a Classic Stampin’ Pad of their choosing for FREE.

Not on my mailing list and want to be, email me at howe6@verizon.net.

Because I Care - Stamp Camp Card

I just love the simplicity of this card!
Materials:
Stamp Sets - Because I Care(hostess), Tiny Tags (#118091)
Paper- Pretty in Pink cardstock, Lap of Luxery DSP (#120436), Basic Gray cardstock, Very Vanilla cardstock
Ink - Basic Gray, Pretty in Pink
Ribbon - 5/8" Basic Gray Satin Ribbon
Bigz Dies - Two Tags (#115954)
Punch - 1 3/8" Circle Large (#44)
and last - Antique Brads (#117273) - one of my all-time favorite embellishments!!

Just For You - Tissue Paper Technique

Materials:
Stamp Set - Just Believe (#116948)
Paper - Garden Green textured cardstock, Rose Red textured cardstock, Whisper White cardstock
Ink - Graden Green, Rose Red
Ribbon - 1/2" Rose Red Seam Binding Ribbon
Punch - Large Oval (#42), Scallop Oval Extra-Large (#19)
Other SU! material - Linen Thread, Cherry Cobbler Designer Button
Others - white tissue paper

Tissue Techique -
I first stamped the large floral image, from the Just Believe stamp set, on whisper white cardstock. Then I applied 2-way glue to the edges of the cardstock and around the image. (I tried not to touch the inked image for fear of smearing the image.) I then careful placed a piece of white tissue paper over the cardstock smoothing out the paper as I layed it down. I used a piece of tissue paper a little large than the cardstock. I did not measure because I found it is easier to trim the tissue paper off rather than cut the paper to exact measurements without tearing it. I then stamped an image on top of the tissue paper with Graden Green. I love the effect! Hope you like it too.

Thanks for stopping by!

Scrunch Technique -
To scrunch up the ribbon:
1. Fray one of the ends of the ribbon.
2. Find a piece of thread traveling lengthwise down the ribbon.
3. Now pull. Adjust the scrunched part you are creating, as you pull, pushing the ribbon along to get the desired affect.

Occasions Mini Catalog 2011 Challenge

The challenge is underway! Everyone on my mailing list has received (or should soon) my Occasions Mini Catalog Flyer. I have given you a challenge. Will you accept? Well, you have nothing to lose.

All you have to do is create a paper project incorporating the three products I gave you. You must use all three items (Springtime Vintage DS Paper, Pear Pizzazz 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon, and the Springtime Vintage Button). You do not necessarily have to use all of the product. You may add any additional paper, ribbon, buttons, etc. to your projects. You can use any stamp sets and other craft tools you need to complete your work of art. You may use non-SU! materials.

All I ask is that you submit your own original work.

After you have created your project email me a photo (howe6@verizon.net). I will post it below giving you credit for your work. On January 25th I will draw a name from those who have participated and that stamper will earn a SAB product from me. The winner gets to pick whatever they want from the SAB catalog.

Easy, right??? So get stamping!
